About the Author: Drawing constantly as a child led Patricia to study at RMIT, earning a postgraduate honours degree in illustration. Since then she has illustrated an impressive range of over twenty-five children's books, most recently the CBCA notable book Phar Lap the Wonder Horse and Jerry.
Using a variety of media, particularly collage, she has received awards in Australia and overseas for V for Vanishing and Dinosaur Encore while Hattie and the Fox and Crocodile Beat remain favourites.
She is also an expert in rocking horse and carousel restoration work. Her book The Rocking Horse is internationally acclaimed as the definitive history.
