Call For Entries
The Call for Entries has been extended due to popular demand!
Closing date for films: Friday 14 May 2010
Now in its seventh year, the Bayside Film Festival continues to attract a diverse range of films from filmmakers who all have a vision to share and the means to share it.
Across the jam-packed four days of this mighty showcase, the Festival offers a comprehensive program of award-winning international and Australian films.
The program also presents short documentaries and digital stories, which have been created specifically for the Festival.
Additionally, the Festival screens films made by students beyond Bayside and this is where the Jump Cut sessions come in to play.
Jump Cut
Budding filmmakers aged 10 - 26 across Australia are encouraged to submit their short films for screening throughout the Bayside Film Festival.
The Festival will occur between 14 and 17 July 2010 at Palace Brighton Bay, 294 Bay Street, Brighton, Melbourne.
Young filmmakers can submit short films in any genre up to 10 minutes in length, and it's not just something you made yesterday. You can enter films that have been made in the last two years.
All works submitted will be subject to a competitive selection process, with the strongest films showcased throughout the four-day event. In addition to this, an industry panel will determine which films will be awarded a prize.
The award categories are: 10 -13 (primary), 13 -18 (secondary) and 19 - 25 (tertiary).

If you have any specific enquiries for further information, please call the Jump Cut Coordinator on 0400 484 471 or email assistantbff@bayside.vic.gov.au.
