Lviv Fashion Week will be taking place from May 20 till 23 in Lviv.
The event will occur in LEMERG Exhibition Centre (Khmelnytskoho Str. 176). Outstanding Ukrainian couturiers as well as young promising designers will be displaying their new collections of the 2010-2011 autumn/winter season.
Lviv Fashion Week includes fashion displays of the following designers: Olesya Telizhenko, Roksolana Bogutska, Liliya Litkovska, Katarzyna Bies (Poland). The new collection of the guest of honour Vyacheslav Zaitsev will be presented as well.
Presentation and the first exhibition of the new project FASHIONABLE COUNTRY (MODNA KRAINA) will make the official opening of Lviv Fashion Week. It will take place on May 20 in Rafinad People Club (Rudanskoho Str. 1). It is a high-quality project of Ukrainian Fashionable Photography development, the objective of which is to present Ukraine via the internet to the whole world as a vivid, fashionable, modern and living country with the help of the language of photography which is understandable for everyone.
The new fashionable project www.modnakraina.com includes most unexpected locations, combinations of the illogical, emphasis on the non-typical, satire, eccentricity, love for paradox and audacity, provocation, optimism and joie de vivre.
Lviv Fashion Week Style Show is to open the three-day long marathon of Lviv Fashion Week. Participating designers of different seasons have been in the process of modelling dresses in the style of Lviv Fashion Week. Each of them will present one dress in the typical palette of black and white with red accent.
The new collection of Roksolana Bogutska which enjoyed plummeting success during Fashion Philosophy Fashion Week Poland on May 7, 2010 will be displayed.
The guest of honour of Lviv Fashion Week is an outstanding Russian couturier and artist, the General Director of Moscow Fashion House, Professor Vyacheslav Zaitsev with his new collection. The new collection of Vyacheslav Zaitsev's Fashion House will be presented in Ukraine for the first time.
Besides, this season of Lviv Fashion Week will witness the presentation of a new exclusive product of Lviv Chocolate Workshop, i.e. a chocolate bar (260 g) representing the emblem of Lviv Fashion Week (a button) made of white chocolate.
On May 23, 2010 the fourth charitable auction will take place in frames of Lviv Fashion Week.
The profit received will be used to purchase necessary equipment for Regional Centre for Children's Endoscopic Surgery and Neonatal Surgery.
Elements of interior decor, clothes, accessories, pictures and photographs granted by well-known Ukrainian designers such as Olena Dats, Roksolana Bogutska, Oksana Karavanska, Liliya Litkovska, Olesya Telizhenko and others as well as artists of various genres like Yuriy Dyachyshyn, Valeriy Nesterenko and others will make auction item.
Lviv Fashion Week is one of the most colossal fashion events in the Eastern Europe. The shows are visited by 3-4 thousand people every day. The scale of the project which includes daily pret-a-porter and pret-a-porter de luxe shows of clothes collections along with simultaneous presentation of designer collections in show rooms has increased dramatically due to various art, jewellery and photography exhibitions.
