How far can one person take the idea of blues/roots music taken from the landscape and drenched in social commentary? Mattski takes to it with a dollop of fun. Together with stompbox (made from totally recycled material), a range of guitars and a whole lot of soul, the result is made to get you moving, thinking and grooving in a whole lot of ways.
Full of original material, Mattski's three-set shows are packed with the fruits of years of songwriting and time spent gazing at where the big blue sky meets the sea, on the shores of Ramshackle Beach and deep in the Mallee- all enjoying the precious environment that rears its head regularly in lyrics.
Top it off with a stack of dynamics and guitar playing that growls, grooves and makes more than a few nods to the world of funk; and you've got a great afternoon waiting to happen.
