The home of Australia's leading designers, David Jones will launch its Autumn Winter 2010 Season on Wednesday 10th February at the Hordern Pavilion, Entertainment Quarter, Moore Park, Sydney.
The Fashion AmbassadorAustralian born, internationally based supermodel Miranda Kerr returns to Sydney, where she will lead the runway as David Jones Fashion Ambassador for the Autumn/Winter season.
The Designers
Australia's most celebrated designers and members of the David Jones Fashion Family, including: Akira, Alex Perry, Alannah Hill, Anna Thomas, AG by Arthur Galan, Bianca Spender, Calibre, Carla Zampatti, Collette Dinnigan, Easton Pearson, Fleur Wood, George Gross, Ginger & Smart, Gorman, Harry Who, Kirrily Johnston, Lisa Ho, Sabatini, Sass & Bide, Scanlan & Theodore, Simona, Thurley, Trelise Cooper, Willow and Zimmermann.
Bianca Spender and Carla Zampatti will open the show with their enchanting designs setting the scene for the sophisticated Autumn/Winter season, while Sass & Bide take centre stage with the coveted finalespot.

Approximately 500 VIPs, celebrities, designers, media and Australian identities.
The Show Styling
With more than 153 outfit changes by 55 models, Kelvin Harries focuses on a range of bold colours and prints to brighten up the winter season with layering and embellishments.
The Show Make Up
Cosmetic partner shu uemura have carefully selected an elite group of ten shu uemura make-up specialists, headed by make-up director Jody Oliver, to work their magic behind the scenes at the David Jones Autumn Winter 2010 Fashion Launch. From 4am, the shu uemura team will practice the shu uemura intricate make-up application technique for 6 hours involving over 1000 brush strokes. The three looks that will be on display on the runway are inspired by the beauty of a winter wonderland, all reflecting the shu uemura philosophy, rich yet simple. Forty sets of exclusive FLEUR lash, have been flown 10,000-miles to create the iconic SNOW ANGEL look. Each set of lashes has been handmade and a total of 280 hours was taken to make the 40 fabulous limited edition lashes.
The Show Hair
Daren Borthwick's creative influence with hair will see a mix of sleek ponytails, romantic waves, side parts and buns to compliment the creations on the runway.
The Food
Guests will be welcomed with a morning tea menu prepared exclusively by JohnandPeter. Refreshing fresh juices of lemon ginger and elderflower, watermelon and honeydew, kiwi fruit and spearmint will be served, complimented by a selection of sweet and savoury delights including; fresh fig with savoury marscapone and baby basil; savoury tartlet with a salad of heirloom tomatoes; fresh herbs and goat ricotta brioche buche with smoked sea-trout and chervil; mozzarella in carozza; raspberry and pomegranate salad with goat milk sorbet; vanilla and cinnamon scented doughnuts; orange and pistachio nut cakes and warm madelines. Fresh herbal infused loose leaf teas will be served to refresh the palate.
