Renault's history has for a century been intimately linked with that of the cinema, dating back to the first Freres Lumieres film, in which Louis Renault appears at the wheel of his Type A "Voiturette", and the first film studios built between 1885 and 1898 next to Renault's Billancourt factories.
Passionate about all forms of cinema, Renault supports numerous festivals and institutions, including the Cannes Festival, the Deauville Festival, the Academic des Arts et Techniques du Cinema, the Alpe d'Huez Festival and the Marrakesh Festival.
Over the last 110 years, thousands of Renaults have escorted the stars to film sets and red carpets across the world.
Renault also works with film and TV productions in France and internationally by lending out cars. Renault models take part in spectacular stunts and comical moments, appearing in world-famous films like And God Created Woman, The Visitors and the James Bond film, A View to a Kill.
