The Greener Screen - Sustainable Practice in the Creative Screen Industries

Metro Screen, supported by Screen NSW, invites you to participate in this unique opportunity to learn from pioneering Australian leaders in sustainable production practice. Intensive afternoon workshops will lead into lively evening panel discussions about the very real environmental challenges we face.

Featured Guests so far include: Bridget Ikin - Hibiscus Films, Mark O’Brien - Beyond Neutral, Jane Fullerton-Smith, Patrick Giltrap and Meegan Jones from GreenShoot Pacific, Kerri Ainsworth - The Designing Woman, Mel Flanagan - Sacred Scraps, Maaike Pullar – The Bower.


Industry leaders from the supply, creation, and reuse stages of the Art cycle will lead an intensive group workshop on the ways the Art Department can incorporate sustainable production practice.

The experts at greening production service GreenShoot Pacific offer insight into their hands-on experiences, the challenges, the learnings and how you can implement best practice production solutions.

The team behind the feature film My Year Without Sex will present the journey they took to make a carbon-reduced production.
