Palace Nova Eastend announces The Met Opera 2009/10 Winter Highlights season, featuring the most popular operas of the season, screening over 6 Sundays from July 25.
The NY Metropolitan Opera is considered to be one of the world's great opera companies and the lavishness of their productions is legendary.

Franco Zeffirelli's classic production of Puccini's Turandot.
AIDA
Sunday 1 August, 1.00pm Daniele Gatti returns for the first time in 14 years to conduct a cast of powerful voices in Verdi's Aida.
THE TALES OF HOFFMANN
Sunday 8 August, 1.00pm
Bartlett Sher returns to direct his second Met production.
DER ROSENKAVALIER
Sunday 15 August, 1.00pm
James Levine conducts a stellar cast led by Renee Fleming as the Marschallin and Susan Graham as Octavian.
CARMEN

The new Carmen features the debuts of director Richard Eyre and conductor Yannick Nezet-Seguin.

Four decades into a legendary Met career, Placido Domingo makes history by singing the baritone title role of Verdi's Simon Boccanegra, conducted by James Levine.
