UNDERCOVER LAWYER

To celebrate their 10th play together, writer/producer Tony Laumberg, and director Richard Cotter have popped their corks and dusted off Tony's most popular and enduring characters, the pompous CBD lawyer, Henry Crowley,
and his sarcastic and perpetually inebriated wife, Margaret, in a laugh-filled tale of espionage, lies and deception all taking place in the lovely environs of leafy St Ives!
When Henry Crowley is convinced by an alluring young ASIO agent, Pamela Goodbody, to spy on his neighbour, a gifted animal psychic, little does he know that ASIO suspects Goodbody of being a double agent and even enlists his own wife, Margaret, to spy on him!
Henry goes deep undercover to unearth evidence that his neighbour is a foreign spy but it doesn't take long for him to find himself way over his head in trouble. Who can Henry trust? Is the animal psychic really a threat to national security?
Will Henry be able to increase his hourly rate?
This madcap tale of spies and spouses stars Nastassja Djalog, Daniel Felkai, Mark McCann, Tricia Youlden and - jumping up from his director's chair - Richard Cotter.

Cotter, who has directed all of Laumberg's plays, clearly could no longer resist the temptation to join in the on-stage fun and games! And what of lawyer-playwright-producer Laumberg? Can he be far behind? So far, he's staying off-stage. Only time will tell.
Undercover Lawyer opens at the specially renovated 100-seat TAP Gallery in Darlinghurst on Friday, 6 August (with a preview on Thurs, 5 Aug) and runs until 29 August.
