SYDNEY'S COOLEST WINTER FESTIVAL SKATES INTO CARRIAGEWORKS

All the magic of a glittering European winter market, and much more, comes to Sydney for CarriageWorks' first ever Winterland festival, this July 2010.

Throughout July, the old Eveleigh rail yards will transform for a winter festival boasting an beautiful indoor ice rink, live music and hot new bands, a design, arts and craft market, fabulous food stalls serving alpine cuisine, dancing, karaoke and activities for everyone to get involved in.

Winterland is a European winter experience in the heart of Sydney's inner west; magical winter fun for families, friends and love-birds. Embrace the winter atmosphere and be warmed by the sweet aroma of roasting chestnuts, thick Italian hot chocolate, and spicy bratwurst.

Admission into Winterland is free. Entry onto the ice-rink is inexpensive (11am-5pm: $12.50, 45 min session / 6-10pm: $16.50, 45 min session), and you can pre-book your skating session. There are plenty of sessions to accommodate skaters between 5 - 31 July.

During School Holidays, the indoor ice rink is a cool, all-weather activity to keep the kids happy. Rug up and get on the rink - awesome fun for kids and adults of all ages.

On Saturdays, peruse the unique art and design stalls of the Winter Market curated by The Finders Keepers and tuck into winter warmers at the cafe and bar, and enjoy the family friendly atmosphere.

By night, things heat up with a series of themed live music nights on Thursday, Friday and Saturdays from 6pm, featuring the best local, emerging and established bands and DJs. Evening skating and live music makes for a fun night out with friends or colleagues, or the perfect date.

Group bookings to skate are available.
